Winchell here... Been a while. I have a full time job and an 8 month old boy and an apartment building to renovate. I just don't have the time I use to! I suppose thats part of growing up huh?
Anyway! Is your computer slow as death? Does it take all day to start up? Well one way to speed it up is to defrag your hard drive. Over time files get moved around and deleted. And this creates spaces and gaps that the hard drive has to search through. And these fragments of space slow down the search process.
After you defrag your files will be back to back and in a neat and organized pile so to speak. So therefor the hard drive searches more efficiently and doesn't waste time looking through blank spaces.
To defrag all you have to do is find your "C drive" in the "My Computer" folder. Right click it and go to "Properties". click on the "tools" tab and select "defragment now".
Select which drive you would like to defrag, then select "Analize"
It will then tell you if you should defrag or not after it analizes. And after you defrag it will give you a report.
This one step alone will save you from frequent crashes and slow performance.
Good night!
Winchell
